Development of AIH-FPP Carburizing Process Using Carbon Powder

In this study, the surface of industrial pure iron was treated with atmospheric-controlled induction heating fine particle peening (AIH-FPP) using mechanical coating (MC) particles carbon/steel obtained by mixing carbon powder and steel milling. The modification effect mechanism its were examined considered analyzing surface. Results showed that a modified layer in which elements diffused formed near AIH-FPP treatment MC particles. addition, examining influence conditions on formation design experiments, temperature most significant among temperature, time, gas flow rate. higher deeper layer. when at ?1273 K, microstructure became pearlite, Vickers hardness increased. time required for diffusion carburizing process approximately same as general reactive gas. process, is to be transferred from surface, grain boundaries dislocations increased (FPP) are used channels diffuse inside specimen. This entirely different conventional methods.
